The economy is in middle of crisis? When other people got laid off, trucking business still carry on! Yup, there're always jobs for a pro truck drivers, since lots of companies need persons who can transport products, materials from place to place and for both long and short hauls.



I was transferred to the active reserve for the next six years. I lived in Rockaway Beach, NY and I was assigned to Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. You can tell them the type of job you are looking for and they will have several choices for you. Believe me, getting a job coming out of school is very, very easy. But getting the right job for you at the right company will be much more likely if you have some experienced help with good contacts.

Professional truck drivers are required to obtain a CDL - a commercial copyright in order to maintain truck driver jobs. To get a CDL, you must take a test at your local DMV, which consists of a written portion and a driving portion. Though schooling is not required, it is highly recommended you attend a Truck driving school before you take the test so you can receive proper training to help you pass.
